Well, Just returned from teaching printmaking and drawing at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica, Venenzia during the month of July. We had 15 students from Youngstown State, U of Southern Indiana, Cleveland State, Oberlin, U of Cincinnati, and U of Findlay attend the study abroad program this year. They had a great time in Italy and thankfully everyone had a fun and safe month abroad. After my teaching duties were complete, I hopped a plane to Belfast, Northern Ireland and spent a week checking out the area with my wife, including an excursion to New Castle and Dublin, Ireland. In Dublin we came across the Printer's Museum which had an amazing collection of printing equipment and history. Printmaking is certainly alive and well on this island. There are some great collaborative print studios in both Dublin and Belfast, and as you can see in this photo, even their cafés cater to printmakers!
